New! Quick Start for Performance
& Productivity: Integrating Back into the Team
QUEST for BALANCE understands that
when a valued employee has been on leave, there are a variety of
issues which may prevent the employee from quickly and successfully
integrating back into the team to "hit the ground running."
We take a 3-pronged approach:
- One-on-one coaching with the employee
who is returning. This process preferably starts one month
before the return date. We work with the employee to help them
anticipate the key issues that are likely to surface during the
transition and to document a plan. We will continue the coaching
process after the return, utilizing our resources and experience,
to help them through the key changes to their work and home life,
and to help make mid-course adjustments to the plan.
- One-on-one coaching with the employee's
immediate manager. During this process we gather the
manager's expectations for the employee so that we can better
assist the employee and facilitate communication. We also brief
the manager on the employee's transition plan and ensure workability
from the manager's perspective.
- Facilitation of the first team meeting
upon the employee's return. The meeting will save the team
huge amounts of unproductive time. It will serve as a welcoming
event for the employee, provide an opportunity for open and honest
communications, and bring everyone up to the same level of knowledge
about important issues and projects
